Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This policy explains what data Imagefall (“we”, “us”) collects when you install and use the Imagefall app for Shopify or visit this website, how we use and store it, and how it gets deleted. The short version: we handle your product data, we do not collect your customers’ personal data, and when you uninstall, your data is erased.

Imagefall is the data controller for the data described here. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@imagefall.com.

1. Data we collect

From your Shopify store (via the Shopify API)

  • Store information: your shop domain, store name, plan, locale, and the contact email associated with the store, so we can operate your account and reach you about the service.
  • Product data: product titles, descriptions, product media (images, and any video/3D media), and related metadata such as alt text. This is the data the app exists to analyze and improve.

Created while you use the app

  • Generated assets: the images, videos, 3D models, and alt text produced for your products, plus audit results such as Visual Performance Scores.
  • Usage and billing records: credit usage (see understanding credits), plan status, and app interaction analytics used to improve the product. Payments themselves are processed entirely by Shopify — we never see your payment details.

What we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or process personal data about your store’s customers. No customer names, emails, addresses, or order details are requested from the Shopify API.

2. How we use data

  • To audit and score your product imagery;
  • To generate the assets you request (packshots, scenes, on-model shots, video, 3D, alt text);
  • To apply approved assets back to your store when you tell us to;
  • To operate billing, support, and service communications;
  • To understand aggregate product usage and improve the app. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your product images to train our own or third parties’ AI models.

3. AI processing

Generation is performed with third-party AI infrastructure. When you run a job, the relevant product image(s) and prompt data are sent to one or more of the following providers, which process them transiently to produce your asset:

  • Replicate (replicate.com)
  • fal.ai
  • Google Gemini API

These providers act as processors for the specific generation request; we use API configurations that do not permit the use of your content for model training where such controls are offered. Their own privacy terms apply to their processing.

4. Where data is stored

Product images and generated assets are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage; account and audit records are stored in our application database. Data is encrypted in transit. We retain your data for as long as the app is installed on your store.

5. Deletion and GDPR

We implement Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks. When you uninstall the app, Shopify sends us a shop-erasure request and we delete your stored images, generated assets, and store metadata. Because we hold no customer personal data, customer data requests and customer redaction requests are acknowledged and, by design, return or remove nothing. You can also request deletion or a copy of your data at any time by emailing support@imagefall.com.

6. This website

The marketing site you are reading now does not require an account and sets no advertising trackers. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand site traffic.

7. Changes and contact

If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and note the new date above. Questions, requests, or complaints: support@imagefall.com.
