Using the studio

Running a Listing Studio refresh

From one photo to a full asset kit: templates, options, and what to expect.

A Listing Studio refresh takes one product photo and turns it into a complete imagery kit: a clean hero packshot, two to three lifestyle scenes, an on-model shot where it makes sense, a 5-second product video, SEO alt text — and optionally a 3D asset. Here’s how a run works from start to finish.

1. Pick the product

Start from the audit: it ranks your listings by how much better imagery would help, so the best candidates are at the top. You can refresh any product, but a high-traffic listing with a low Visual Performance Score is where a refresh pays back fastest.

2. Choose a source photo

The studio works from a single photo — one you already have on the listing, or a new phone photo you upload. Sharp focus and decent resolution matter more than staging; a plain phone shot on a kitchen table is fine. Backgrounds, lighting, and context are what the studio rebuilds.

3. Pick a template and options

Templates decide what’s in the kit — for example, a fashion template includes an on-model shot, while a home-goods template leans on lifestyle scenes. You can toggle individual steps, pick the video tier, and add a 3D asset (Growth and up) if the product suits it. The exact credit cost is shown before you confirm — refreshes run 8–15 credits depending on the template, +10 for 3D.

4. Generation runs in the background

A refresh typically finishes in a few minutes; 3D assets can take three to five. You can leave the page — progress updates per step, and the queue keeps going without you. On Scale, your jobs skip ahead in the priority queue.

5. Review the results

When the run completes, the review gallery presents every asset next to your current imagery. Nothing is published yet: approve the pieces you like, regenerate any that miss, and discard the rest. Applying is covered in Reviewing and applying assets.

If a step fails

Refreshes are delivered per step — if one step fails, the others still arrive, and the failed step’s credits are refunded automatically. See Troubleshooting failed steps for common causes and the retry button.
